Laura Hurtado

Owner | Chief Executive Officer 

Laura Hurtado has over 20 years of professional management experience, specializing in association management and client services. Her expertise includes implementing property business plans and devising creative solutions to property issues. Ms. Hurtado is responsible for strategic planning for commercial associations and their Boards.

Following her contract with the Marine Corps, she began her career in Association Management in 2007 as an Executive Assistant. Laura has obtained the California Association of Community Managersâ„  certification as a Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) with a concentration in Portfolio Management. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Humphrey’s College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Redlands.

Ms. Hurtado's professional journey has predominantly focused on the Southern California market, successfully managing a diverse array of projects and associations including large-scale master homeowners associations such as Eastlake III and Montecito at Otay Ranch, high-rise office buildings like Metrowork, mid-rise OA condominium buildings such as The Park OA, as well as office, industrial, retail, land, and mixed-use developments. Additionally, Laura has served as an Onsite General Manager for a self-managed community.

Upon completing her MBA program, she accepted a position with a CPA firm as the Director of Business Development, where she worked to rebrand the company and open various networking opportunities for the firm.  She recently obtained her real estate license and has four years of experience in CAM reconciliations, leasing, and property management of industrial, medical and office buildings.

Maria Mercado/Lee Anne Lobato

Accountants

Synergy's accountants are responsible for generating and analyzing financial reports, calculating CAM recoveries, and processing checkuns. They monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and manage budgets while ensuring accurate accounts payable and receivable. Guided by principles such as GAAP and AICPA's Ethical Guidelines they maintain accuracy, transparency, and integrity in their work.

Marilou Rojas

Director of Business Development 

Marilou Rojas heads the Business Development department where she is responsible for client relationships, bringing on new business, and keeping the Synergy Management Group name out in the industry.  Her current focus will be northern California, forming partnerships with industry partners and focusing on relationship building.

David Alva

Director of Association Management 

David Alva joins Synergy Management Group as the Director of Association Management, bringing a robust background in community association and real estate management since 2017. A proud San Diego native, David graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and holds two Associate Degrees in Communication and Liberal Studies from Southwestern Community College. He furthered his expertise with a Project Management certificate from Google Career Certificates and a certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments, and Development from the University of San Diego Professional and Continuing Education.

As a Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) and licensed real estate professional, brings a steadfast commitment to excellence in community association management. His approach is rooted in virtue, diligence, and exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication in every interaction. David is dedicated to fostering thriving communities and empowering clients to reach their real estate goals with integrity and expertise. passion for community management and dedication to client success him an invaluable asset to Synergy Management Group and its clients.

Thalina Martin

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Martin is responsible for managing and distributing information among our team, answering phones and handling other administrative work.  She is highly focused on assisting in daily office needs and managing our company's general administrative activities.
